John Janzen Nature Centre

Tuesday, May 25, 2010 - Spring 2011 John Janzen is closed for expansion and renovations. Guided classes and field trips booked for May and June will run as scheduled.

Impacted by closure:

  • Guided classes and field trips will not be running July 2010 - March 2011.
  • Some access to nature trails surrounding the Nature Centre. One access point to the Birch Tree Trail will be closed, but remaining trail access points will remain open.
  • Public drop-in interpretive programs including animal feedings, crafts, guided hikes (damselflies and dragonflies), pond dipping and Thursday night camp fires will not be running during the construction period. 
  • There will not be public access to the exhibit room display during the construction period.

Not impacted by closure:

  • Guided classes and field trips booked for May and June 2010 will run as scheduled.
  • Backyard Compost Centre will continue to offer regular drop-in and registered programs outside the Nature Centre.
