Birthday Packages

Party under the pyramids! A unique birthday awaits your child at the Muttart Conservatory — it will be a day they won’t forget!

Birthday Parties are available year round, but space is limited. Parties must be booked at least one month (30 days) in advance. Book early to avoid disappointment! Payment for the program must be made at the time of booking.

Fees & Group Size

Parties booked for 2013: $175
The maximum group size is 30 people, including parents and siblings.
Additional guests above the maximum number of 30, adults or children, will be required to pay applicable admissions costs and will not be able to participate in the program activities.
A minimum of 4 adults must stay with the children to assist with supervision.
All fees, including optional additions (room rentals and total number of party bags), must be reserved and paid in full at the time of booking. No refunds or additions for room rentals and treat bags will be accepted once the booking has been placed.
Program dates and times cannot be booked or held until a payment is received.

Room rentals and treat bag order numbers must be confirmed and paid for at the time the birthday party booking is made. No refunds or additions will be accepted once the booking has been placed.

You can stay longer to allow time for gift opening and cake by booking a room after the party program. $30/hour.
Please note that party rooms are unavailable for cake and presents during the program without a room rental.
Party bags are available for:
- $3 each (2013 rate)*
Bags include 2 pieces of candy/gum, 2 toys (1 of which may be stickers), free child admission passes to Fort Edmonton Park, Muttart Conservatory, John Janzen Nature Centre, Edmonton Valley Zoo, and Kinsmen Sports Centre.
Ask us about catering options for your party snacks or lunch.
Birthday child will receive a free t-shirt.

*Starting June 24, 2013 we will no longer sell treat bags for birthday parties, instead, every child attending the party will receive:

One 50% discount off a single admission to an attraction
One free single admission to a fitness and leisure centre

Cancellation Policy

Programs run rain or shine.
You must call 780-496-2601 or email specialmoments@edmonton.ca to cancel/reschedule your party.
A fee of 50% of the cost of the program will be charged for cancellations unless the program is rescheduled within the same calendar year at the time of cancellation.
The cancellation fee will not be waived if notice of cancellation/rescheduling is given less than 2 weeks (14 days) of the scheduled program.
The full program fee will be charged if less than 48 hours notice is given for cancellations or rescheduling.

Party Descriptions

Little Sprouts Birthday

Ages 4-5

Spend your birthday discovering all about plants the pre-school way. Search for shapes, colours and try to match a few textures too. Take a jungle trek through the rainforest pyramid to look for the biggest leaves and travel through the desert to find some of the prickliest plants. We’ll play games and each of your guests will make crafts and pot a plant to take home.

A Bloomin' Great Birthday

Ages 6-11

Have a bloomin' great birthday no matter what the weather! Check out the jungle and the desert…from fish tail palms to the prickly pear cactus, your birthday bunch will be kept busy with activities and games in each pyramid. Everyone joins in a planting activity and takes home a plant.

Little Ladybug Birthday

Ages 4-10

Discover all about a gardener’s best friend - the ladybug. You and your party guests will be able to hold and release a ladybug into a pyramid garden. Pot a plant with polka-dots in honour of this spotted creature, make a ladybug craft, and explore the rest of the pyramids. You’ll be seeing spots after this delightful and unique party.
