It was the night before Christmas and all through the zoo not a creature was stirring… Wait! Of course they are! Head on down to the Edmonton Valley Zoo this holiday season for Zoo-Minescence – An Animal Ice Sculptor Showcase! Powered by Coca Cola.

Take in the sights and sounds of the Edmonton Valley Zoo at night and take in all the holiday wonder of lights, ice sculptures, and the animals! A portion of the admission proceeds go directly to the Valley Zoo Development Society to raise funds for Nature's Wild Backyard!

The Edmonton Valley Zoo Green Team asks you to bring reusable cups for hot chocolate and coffee!

Skates are not available on site for rental; you must bring your own.

Dress warm and wear sturdy boots, expect winter conditions!

Activities from 4–8pm

• Wild “Zootique” (Saito) In need of some animal themed Christmas Shopping? You're sure to find something for the person who has everything including hand crafted art, animal paintings, pottery, and a selection of environmentally friendly stocking stuffers.

• Christmas Animal Encounters (Saito) A variety of animals for you to meet!

• Christmas Music (Saito) Relax and enjoy the festive music.

• Hot Chocolate (Saito) Enjoy a hot chocolate and coffee sponsored by Second Cup while visiting the animals throughout the zoo. Donations accepted!

• Adopt-A-Christmas-Animal (Saito) Visit the Valley Zoo Development Society to Adopt-An-Animal, the perfect gift for any animal lover! Will it be an Arctic Fox, Arctic Wolf, or Snowy Owl?

• Animal Touch Table (Saito) Take a look at all these artifacts! A different theme each night!

• Ice and Lights! (Inner Zoo) Take a walk around the zoo to witness all the ice sculptures and light displays!

• Skating Rink (Arctic Shores Boardwalk) Lace up your skates and take a spin on the outdoor Skating Rink!
