Zoo Logos Reflect Eye-Popping Changes Underway
The Edmonton Valley Zoo's new logos signal the significant changes underway at the zoo. When people see the new logos, we hope it prompts them to learn more about the zoo's bold new direction.
The City of Edmonton is creating a wonderful zoo where people will connect with individual animals in a natural setting and be inspired to help preserve our natural world. Edmonton Valley Zoo will be a leading example of how a small zoo can make a big difference in our world through its focus on conservation, education and stewardship.
A series of construction projects now underway will improve habitats for animals, expand learning opportunities for guests of all ages and enhance amenities, making a visit to the zoo a more enjoyable and memorable experience.
A lot of thoughtful discussion about the zoo's direction has taken place. We've articulated our values and our vision and we've created a new business plan with strategies to help us achieve our vision.
Our new logos better reflect the opportunity for guests of the zoo to get closer to a wide variety of animals in a fun and engaging way.
The Edmonton Valley Zoo brings you closer to wild animals than you'd normally ever get to be, so we decided our logos should look you right in the eye. Since the zoo has many faces, we decided to have a series of logos rather than focus on just one animal. And while conservation is a serious topic, we wanted our logos to reflect the fun visitors of all ages have at the Edmonton Valley Zoo.
The logos can be any animal your imagination would like them to be. We did, of course, have some specific animals in mind for each and we encourage you to come to the zoo and match the logo with one of the 350 animals living at the Edmonton Valley Zoo.
