Daycamp Forms

Prior to the first day of camp in which your child is registered, print and fill out the camper information forms below. Remember to bring the completed forms with you when you drop off your child on the first day of camp.

For each child registered in one of our camps, please fill out the General Camp Forms

For each child with medical concerns (i.e., severe allergies), please also fill out the Medical & Epi-Pen Forms.

Would you like to provide us with some feedback regarding your recent daycamp experience? Please fill out a Daycamp Evaluation form and mail or fax it back to the Edmonton Valley Zoo. Our mail and fax information is on the back page of the evaluation. We value customer comments and suggestions!

Animal Adventures (4 & 5 years) - SOLD OUT

$125 / child

A new and exciting adventure awaits your preschooler each day at the Zoo! Discover some amazing ways that animals move and communicate with each other, and get a chance to meet and touch some of our small animals. Through interactive story-telling, creative movement, songs, and games, we’ll practice moving and talking like animals! We’ll make hand puppets and participate in our very own puppet performance at the end of the week. Your child will have a zoo-riffic time!

Zoo Treasures (5 – 7 years) — SOLD OUT

Each day, we’ll have a pirate-sized zoo-venture! We’ll don our pirate hats and follow clues that will lead us to underwater, backyard, buried, and endangered animal treasures. As we journey through the zoo, we’ll have animal encounters, create crafts, and make special treats for the animals. We’ll also piece together a treasure map that will lead us to a treasure chest of treats for us to share with our new daycamp friends.

Put on your detective hats and get your magnifying glasses ready! Each day, there will be a new “zoo-dunnit” case to solve. At the end of the week, a mystery animal disappears – and we’ll need your help to find out where it went! As we follow the clues, we’ll have encounters with animals and make animal enrichments, including a special treat for the biggest animal at the zoo! A week of mystery-solving fun awaits, with games, crafts, puzzles, and more!

Zoo Olympics (6 – 9 years) — SOLD OUT

Animals are amazing athletes! Discover the Olympic-sized abilities of our zoo animals as we explore the ways that animals move on land, in the water, and by air. We’ll make and award special treats to our fastest, strongest, and biggest animal athletes. Meet cool animals up close, create prize-winning creature crafts, and turn the camp room into an Olympic village for the week. We’ll also practice our human-sized athletic skills when we host our own animal-themed Olympic event day!

Join us on a week-long zoo-fari! We’ll discover amazing animal facts and features and play animal-themed games along the way. Learn about our animal artists, create “elephant-style” paintings, and make our own clay animal masks with a visit from the Clay for Kids art studio! Visit the zoo kitchen, help zookeepers prepare some zoo meals and make enrichments for some curious carnivores and mischievous monkeys! End the week with an Animal Jeopardy Trivia Challenge and potluck snack!

Junior Zookeeper (7 – 10 years) — SOLD OUT

As a junior zookeeper, you’ll help prepare animal diets, clean an enclosure, and interview a zookeeper to learn about a day in the life of our animal care-givers. You’ll help make a summer popsicle for one of our zoo residents, and deliver a smelly surprise to one lucky carnivore! We’ll need your help caring for a small animal in the daycamp classroom! Learn more about the animals you love and discover what it takes to plan and run a zoo.

We’ll stamp our passports and put on our safari hats as we visit animals from different continents. Discover amazing animal adaptations from around the world, and how the Zoo cares for its diverse residents. We’ll help zookeepers prepare animal diets, and create cool animal enrichments! Visit the emus from ‘down under’, zebras from Africa, snow leopards of the Himalayas, and owls of North America. Animal encounters, games and crafts will keep you busy as you travel the world all week!

Wild Adventures (10 – 13 years) - SOLD OUT

Come discover animals’ amazing adaptations for survival in extreme environments: from mountain-climbing abilities of big-horned sheep, to hunting skills of big cats, and compare our human abilities with those of animals from around the world. We’ll canoe in Rundle Park, go rock climbing at Vertically Inclined, go on a geocaching treasure hunt, and create a multi-sensory obstacle course for our new camp friends. Don’t miss out on this wild week of active adventures!

Zoo-mazing Race (11 – 14 years)

$255/child

Visit the Zoo for a week of mind-bending adventures. Participate in a “SSP-ecial” treasure hunt, explore animal “myth-takes” and “myth-teries” and practice orienteering at Laurier Park all before ending off the week with a Zoo-mazing Race! On Thursday night, enjoy a campfire with owls hooting in the background, make special nocturnal animal enrichments, and stay for our fun indoor sleep-over* at the zoo.  This is one elephant sized adventure you don’t want to miss!

*Participation in sleep-over is optional, with designated pick-up (8:30pm) and drop-off (8:30am) times for individuals choosing not to stay the night.

Animal Care Provider (11 – 14 years) — SOLD OUT

Discover what it takes to care for captive, orphaned, and injured animals! Help zookeepers with cleaning an enclosure, creating animal enrichments, and preparing diets. Meet one of our veterinary staff that will tell you about Zoo veterinary care. Attend “Pet University” with the Humane Society to learn some hands-on pet care skills, and visit the Alberta Injured Birds of Prey facility to learn about injured raptor care. End the week with fun, games and an Animal Trivia tournament!
