African Safari: A Celebration of African Animals!
Date: Sunday August 12, 2012
Hakuna Matata! What do zebras, tortoises, and lemurs have in common? They all come from Africa! Join the Edmonton Valley Zoo on an African Safari as we explore this majestic land and all of its inhabitants! Learn all about Africa by going on the African Animal Safari Search, and then perfect your drumming skills in Drum Circle! “Get Closer” with African Animals while you listen to an educational interpretive talk or even an animal encounter! Next, drop by the craft stop to construct a Zany Zebra craft to take home and enjoy! Before you leave, make sure you watch as the resident African animals receive a special enrichment treat. Don’t miss this chance to visit Africa at the Edmonton Valley Zoo!
Also, don’t forget to buy a conservation dollar to vote for your favourite animal in the Edmonton Valley Zoo’s Race for Animal of the Year! Will it be Kayok, Rocky, Hula, or Pip?!
