City Hall

Edmonton City Hall is located in the heart of downtown.  It is an Edmonton landmark, the home of our civic leadership, and a gathering place for the community.  It was designed by Edmonton architect Gene Dub and opened on August 28, 1992, on the site of the former City Hall.

Gene Dub’s design combines the old with the new, as located throughout the building are reclaimed pieces of the old City Hall.  It is also designed as a ‘people place’, not just a place for civic government, but as a meeting place for the citizens of Edmonton.  There is always something happening at City Hall in every season.  Edmontonians come here to enjoy events, festivals, and activities year round.
