National Child Day
National Child Day events raise awareness of the rights of children, especially those who experience rights violations and social marginalization.
The theme for 2015 National Child Day is It's Our Right to Learn. It's based on 4 articles from the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child:
- Article 23: You have the right to special education and care if you have a disability.
- Article 28: You have the right to a good quality education.
- Article 29: Your education should help you use and develop your talents and abilities and respect others and the environment.
- Article 42: You have the right to know your rights.
