Environment Week I Spy Contest
Environment Week Edmonton is upon us! In honour of living green, the City has introduced our brand new Soofa benches, Winston & Soofia.
Soofa benches are smart, social and solar-powered pieces of urban furniture. They create a social space where you can hang out and charge your smartphone. The Soofa also works as an environmental monitoring system, housing sensors to monitor the environment that then report the findings.
Check out the Soofa benches! Winston sits in Churchill Square while Soofia sits at the Muttart Conservatory.
To celebrate Edmonton’s sweet new solar benches and kick off this year’s Environment Week Edmonton, we bring you Environment Week I Spy.
The rules are simple:
- Visit Winston or Soofia, or both! Next to the Soofa benches will be sandwhich boards that go over how the contest works in case you need a quick refresher.
- Once you are at the Soofa, see what environment week objects you can spy. The Environment Week I Spy objects have an identifying tag on them in case you spy something that you’re not sure about
- Snap a picture of the Environment Week objects you can find.
- Post your pics on Instagram using #ISpyYEG and you're done!
To be entered you must have a public Instagram account and your post must use the hashtag #ISpyYEG.
The contest runs from June 7 to Noon on June 30. You can visit Winston & Soofia as often as you like, but can enter the contest a maximum of five times.
