Name that Calf!
Naming Contest
Our new Dexter calf down in the Urban Farm needs a name! The new calf, born in May and her mother Donna are on loan to us from Applejack Ranch. The Edmonton Valley Zoo will be accepting name nominations down in the Urban Farm (previously the Children's Zoo) until August 10, 2013. So come on over and submit your name choice on a ballot!
At 2pm on August 11 at our Animal Mythbusters special event, we will present the calf with 3 apples. These apples will have the top 3 name selections carved in. The calf will choose her own name by eating the apple with the name she likes the most! If the calf chooses your name, you will win an Edmonton Valley Zoo prize pack!
