Self-Guided Tours

Smartphone QR Tours

Explore the pyramids at your own pace using QR Codes. A QR Code (Quick Response Code) is a mobile phone readable barcode that links you to a webpage.

Our QR Codes will link you to pages that feature walking tours of the Arid, Temperate and Tropical pyramids. You can access these webpages via your phone’s browser by scanning the QR code posted at the entrance of each pyramid.

Each tour is designed to last approximately 15 minutes. The QR code in the Feature Pyramid provides you with information about the year’s feature pyramid displays.

Printed Tours

Don’t have a smartphone? Printed self-guided tours are available at the entrance of the Arid, Temperate and Tropical Pyramids. The feature pyramid has a summary of the year’s feature pyramid displays.

Children’s Scavenger Hunts

Our colourful scavenger hunts will send you and your child on the hunt for colours, shapes, smells and textures in the pyramids. They’re fun for big kids too! Reusable scavenger hunts are available at the entrances of the Arid, Temperate and Tropical pyramids.
