Birthday Packages

Party under the pyramids! A unique birthday awaits your child at the Muttart Conservatory—it will be a day they won’t forget!

Birthday parties are available year round, but space is limited. Parties must be booked at least 6 weeks in advance. Book early to avoid disappointment! A down payment of 50% of the program fee must be made at the time of booking.

Fees and Group Size

• $185 (2.5 hour package) or $210 (3 hour package)
• The maximum group size is 30 people, including parents and siblings.
• Additional guests above the maximum number of 30, adults or children, will be required to pay applicable admissions costs and will not be able to participate in the program activities.
• A minimum of 4 adults must stay with the children to assist with supervision.
• All fees, including optional additions (room rentals), must be reserved and paid in full at the time of booking. No refunds or additions for room rentals will be accepted once the booking has been placed.
• Program dates and times cannot be booked or held until a payment is received.

Program Length

All party bookings are 3 hours in length and include a 2 hour program and 1 hour room rental. 2.5 hour party bookings are available for younger children (ages 4-6) booking the Little Sprouts Birthday only.

Options

Add-ons must be confirmed and paid for at the time the birthday party booking is made. No refunds or additions will be accepted once the booking has been placed.  

• Birthday child will receive a free t-shirt.
• Extra t-shirts can be ordered for an additional fee.
• One hour room rental is included with your birthday package.
• Every child attending the party will receive:
  • One 50% discount off a single admission to an attraction (when a second admission of equal or lesser value is purchased.)
  • One free single admission to a fitness and leisure centre (when a second admission of equal or lesser value is purchased.)

Program Cancellation

• You are required to provide written notice of cancellation of the birthday party via email at cmsbirthdaybookings@edmonton.ca.
• Cancellations with 4-30 days' notice are subject to a fee of 50% of the program cost.
• Programs cancelled with less than 3 days' (72 hours') notice will be charged the full program fee.
• Programs run rain or shine. In the event of poor weather, you must call 780-496-7948 or email cmsbirthdaybookings@edmonton.ca if you are not coming.

Party Descriptions

Little Sprouts Birthday

Ages 4-5

Spend your birthday discovering plants the preschool way. Search for leaf shapes and colours, and try to match a few leaf textures, too. Take a jungle trek through the rainforest pyramid to find the biggest trees, and travel through the desert to find the prickliest plants. Then play some games, make a craft, and pot a plant to take home.

A Bloomin' Great Birthday

Ages 6-11

Have a “blooming” great birthday no matter the weather by taking a journey through the jungle and a dance through the desert. In each of the pyramids, your party guests will participate in exciting activities and explore the beauty of plants from around the world. To top off a terrific party, each guest will get to pot their very own plant to take home.

Ladybugs & Friends Birthday

Ages 4-10

Celebrate your birthday and learn all about ladybugs and other cool insects that help our gardens grow! We’ll play games, make a ladybug craft and take home a plant that we pot ourselves! To add some extra excitement, guests will get a chance to release some real beneficial bugs into one of the pyramids. You’ll be seeing spots after this delightful and unique party.

Muttart Mystery Birthday

Ages 6-10

There is a mystery afoot at Muttart Conservatory!  Our program leader will play the part of master detective, leading you and your party guests on a scavenger hunt for clues.  During your investigation, you’ll discover some of the coolest plants that live under Muttart’s glass pyramids.  As a reward for your hard work, you and each of your party guests will get to plant your very own seedling to take home!
