Scientific name: Eulemur rufus
Habitat: deciduous forests
Diet: leaves, flowers, bark and sap of Kily tree
Life span: 20-25 years
Young: 1 young
Size: 2.7 kg (6 lbs)
Red-fronted lemurs are very social and will live in permanent groups of 7 to 8 animals. They groom themselves and each other with their lower teeth, which stick straight out from their mouths forming dental combs. The baby clings to its mother's belly when first born, then rides on her back when a little older.
