Things To See and Do
There are plenty of things to see and do in City Hall. Whether it is taking a tour of the building, participating in an event, or attending a City Council meeting, City Hall has a variety of activities for people of all ages.
Summer City Hall Tours:
Guided City Hall tours are being offered every Friday during the summer from July 15 - August 26, 2016.

Start times: Noon & 1:15pm
(Tours are approximately 1 hour in length)
Departures: Tours will depart from in front of the Citizen and New Arrival Information Centre in the main foyer of City Hall. No advanced booking required.
There is always something happening at City Hall in every season. Edmontonians come here to enjoy events, festivals and activities year round, including:
- Valentine's Day Disco Skate (February 14)
- Family Day Fun (February 15)
- Canada Day (July 1)
- Remembrance Day Service (November 11)
- Holiday Magic (December 7-11)

Located across from City Hall, Churchill Square is the main downtown square in Edmonton, which plays host to a large majority of family-friendly festivals and events.
City Fountain & Pool
In the heat of the summer, cool off in the free City Hall pool and relax in the many seating areas by the fountain.
In the winter, strap on some skates and a helmet and take a twirl around the City Hall ice rink. The skate change room, located at the south east corner of City Hall.
Skate Change Room Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 10am-10pm
- Saturdays, 10am-5pm
- Sundays & holidays, 11am-5pm
City Hall is a hotspot for WiFi access. Visitors can enjoy the convenience of reliable and fast internet for free!

City Council and Committee Meetings
Regular City Council and Committee meetings are held in Council Chambers and the River Valley Room in City Hall. For more information view the Council and Committee Meeting schedule.
Enjoy breakfast or lunch at Kids in the Hall Bistro located in the south-west corner of City Hall.
