The Edmonton Heritage Board and Edmonton Heritage Council are accepting applications to select a Historian Laureate for the 2026-28 term.
Located in the historic Prince of Wales Armouries Heritage Centre, the City of Edmonton Archives is a public research facility housing civic government and private records of enduring significance that document Edmonton's history.
The City of Edmonton Archives houses records created by the City of Edmonton, as well as some of its agencies, boards, and commissions. These records contain material that is protected in alignment with the Personal Information and Privacy (POPA) Act, and some material may be restricted in alignment with this Act. Access to these records is guided in alignment with the Access to Information (ATIA) Act. For more information, please see About Our Collections.
We are open by appointment only. To make an appointment, please call 780-496-5989.
