The Line Marking Program
The rectangular field-marking program, weather depending, starts on May 1 of each year.
Marking requests require a minimum of two weeks notice and are completed in the order received with the funding available.
The City provides line marking equipment and paint only to non-profit community groups for their booked soccer/football programs through the Loan Out Program. If you are part of a non-profit organization and your request does not meet the requirements for the City to mark your sports field, then you may participate in this program.
Line marking guidelines adhere to our Joint Use Strategy Agreement 2005 – 2015.
Approved Special Events and Tournaments
We offer a streamlined process with separate forms for regular sports activities and special events/tournaments. The regular allocation form covers standard sports fixtures, while the special events/tournaments form is tailored for unique occasions. Both forms are sent out in mid-November with a submission deadline in the first week of January.
Note: If your Special Event or Tournament has been pre-approved, line marking of the field is not automatically included in this request. User groups must also submit a line marking request form to ensure the sports field is lined/marked for the event.
Line marking is only available on Premier-level fields that have been booked, fields located on District standard parks, by request, and approved special events/tournaments, also by request.
