Community Event Services

Community Recreation Network

Three times a year, Community Recreation Networks gather together several Recreation Program providers to share program details and explore opportunities to develop and deliver programs to meet the needs of a community. 

If your group or organization is involved in recreation programming, join a Community Recreation Network in your area! Together recreation can flourish in our communities.

The City of Edmonton lends program equipment to non-profit organizations for use at free programs or events that are open to the public.

Recruitment

Resources, information and tips are available for preparing and delivering interviews, checking references and acquiring security clearances. We can assist your group with recruitment for recreation volunteers and program staff.

We can provide training to your community organization’s front line volunteers that will give them the skills to lead neighbourhood recreation programs. Training can focus on general best practices, or can be adapted to your organization’s specific needs.
