Located in northeast Edmonton on the north bank of the North Saskatchewan River, Rundle Park is a popular destination that offers a wide range of outdoor activities and scenic river valley views.

Home to sports fields, multi-use trails, the Rundle Park Golf Course and picnic sites, to name a few, it is the ideal spot for families, fitness enthusiasts and nature-lovers to enjoy all that nature has to offer. The park space is also anchored by the ACT Aquatic and Recreation Centre, offering year-round indoor swimming and fitness amenities right on site.

Amenities

Adaptive Paddling 

Adaptive paddling is available at the Rundle Paddling Centre, organized by Edmonton Whitewater Paddlers and the Paralympic Sports Association. This program is aimed to make paddling more accessible to people of all abilities. 

Note: The Rundle Paddling Centre is not open to the general public. Those interested in adaptive paddling can register for a Try It event

ACT Aquatic and Recreation Centre

Playground Access

The playground features paved access, paved pathway connections between play structures and seating areas that include picnic tables or benches located near each structure.

Some play structures offer both ground-level and ramped access options to provide options for inclusive play.

Rundle Family Centre

The Rundle Family Centre is divided into 2 distinct sections. 

  • Access to the public park amenities is via the west-side entrance.
  • The main doors are equipped with door openers. This side of the building offers year-round access to accessible washrooms, seating, day-use lockers, an indoor skate change, a warming station and a water fountain with a bottle refill station.
  • The eastern half is reserved for exclusive-use rentals.
Parking
  • Accessible parking stalls are available in each parking lot adjacent to a facility
  • Bike racks are available onsite for secure lock-up
Trails and Pathways

Paved trails link the accessible parking areas directly to the primary trail network. Pondside viewpoints are available along the paved trail system. These trails also connect the parking lots to the ACT Aquatic and Recreation Centre, Rundle Family Centre and the IceWay entrance.

Winter Season

After each snowfall, staff will prioritize snow and ice removal for your safety and comfort. This includes clearing primary pathways, accessible parking areas, and key facility routes.

Learn more about standard snow-clearing service. Please use caution, especially near spots where the trail meets the ice surface and along ramps. If you experience access problems, please call 311 to report your concerns.

Challenge your friends to a match at the onsite beach volleyball courts.

Disc golf course 

Visit the disc golf course in warm weather. League play runs Wednesdays and Thursdays from April to September.
