Southeast Winter Fun Festival
Date: Every year in December
Time: 11am-3pm
Location: Argyll Community League Hall and District Park
Explore the many ways to have fun during the winter at this free Festival. We have added a Photo Booth, Sleigh Ride and Tire sur la neigh (maple toffee) and Little Clippers to our menu of events. The library staff will do story time and we will also have a variety of winter crafts to create and many outdoor activities to take part in.
Root for Trees Fest
Date: Saturday, June 13, 2015
Location: Beaumaris Park
Time: 10am - 2pm
Cost: Free
Attend this free family event held yearly in June. Kids 11 and under can participate in a 0.5, or 1 kilometre race where they run, plant a tree, and then water it. Help the Community Greening Team and Syncrude volunteers plant 1,000 trees! Live music, a food truck, nature displays, presentations and tattoos will round-out this tree-ific day!
River Day
Date: Held annually on the second Saturday in June
Location: Rundle Park
Spend a fun summer afternoon on the water with the whole family. Learn all about safe and responsible river recreation.
