Contest Rules and Regulations

Contest Offer

  • Enter for a chance to win ONE of FOUR 100 AIR MILES® Reward Miles prizes every week! And also a chance to play for FREE in a GRAND Golf Tournament and a further chance to win up to a Maximum of 5,000 AIR MILES® Reward Miles prize at the end of that event.
  • The contest is valid from May 23 to August 31, 2016. (Contest period )
  • One name will be drawn each week on every Monday at 4:00am MT during the Contest Period
  • At each golf facility i.e. Victoria Golf Course, Riverside Golf Course, Rundle Park Golf Course and Victoria Driving Range.
  • Weekly draws will be made by the golf pros at each facility.
  • The entrants’ names drawn each week will be notified via email (Email address to be provided by participant.)
  • If a potential winner of AIR MILES Reward Miles is not an AIR MILES Collector, he/she may enroll in the AIR MILES Reward Program by visiting airmiles.ca. By enrolling to become an AIR MILES Collector you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the AIR MILES Reward Program as amended from time to time.
  • The winners will get 100 AIR MILES® Reward Miles prizes as a result of the first random draw and they will also be selected to for a Grand Golf Tournament Play in last week of September. The golf play in that tournament will be free and in the end of that tournament the contestants will be part of another lucky draw where they will have a chance to win a minimum of 25 to a maximum of 5000 AIR MILES® Reward Miles for prizes.

Eligibility

  • Contest is open to City of Edmonton Golf Course patrons. If a winner is under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian may accept the prize on their behalf.
  • The chances of winning are dependent on the number of entries received for each facility in each weekly period.
  • The contest is not open to employees of LoyaltyOne, Co., RMG Loyalty, and the current City of Edmonton, Citizen Services, Community and Recreation Facilities staff, members of immediate families of such employees and persons living in the same household as such employees)
  • In order to receive their prize, each potential winner must correctly complete a mathematical skill-
    testing question, and sign a standard declaration and release form confirming compliance with the rules together with a consent for The City of Edmonton to use their name and likeness online and in print in any other media in connection with the contest and for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation.
  • The contest is subject to all applicable Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law

How to Enter

  • For every entry, the participants will have to play at Riverside Golf Course, Victoria Golf course, Rundle Park Golf Course or practice at the Victoria Driving Range.
  • They can enter as many times as they play.
  • During the contest period, the participants will have to play at Riverside Golf Course, Victoria Golf course, Rundle Park Golf Course or practice at the Victoria Driving Range to get an entry. The entry will be good for only the contest for that particular week’s contest.
  • The entry will be made by filling out a contest entry slip and putting it in the ballot box present at the front counter of the pro shop.
  • If the information you provide when entering is inaccurate, your entry will be void.
  • Limit of one entry per person.

  • Winner must successfully answer the skill-testing question. Non-compliance within this time period may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate potential winner. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable or failure of the prize winner to successfully answer the skill-testing question within three (3) working days of notification of selection may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate potential winner.
  • Entrants agree to abide by the terms of these official rules and by the decisions of the City of Edmonton, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this contest.
  • The contest is managed by The City of Edmonton. LoyaltyOne, Co. is in no way connected to the management of this contest.
  • LoyaltyOne will not be getting any information from the administration of this contest.
  • This personal information is being collected under the authority of section 33(c) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, R.S.A. 2000, c. F-25 (FOIP) and will be used for City of Edmonton to contact the winners and for promotional purposes. It is protected in accordance with the privacy provisions of FOIP.

No Purchase Necessary & On-Line Entries (required by Criminal Code of Canada)

To enter without any purchase entrants may hand print their name, address, e-mail address, postal code, and phone number on a plain 3” x 5” piece of paper and sign it. Place the entry form in an envelope and mail it with sufficient postage to: Hasan Razak, 14th Floor, CN Tower, 10004 – 104 Avenue NW, Edmonton Alberta T5J 2R7. Entries must be postmarked no later than October 2nd 2016. Limit of one (1) entry per envelope with sufficient postage. All mail-in entries will have the same odds of winning as those received on-line. Faxed or e-mailed entries will be disqualified. LoyaltyOne, Co., RMG Loyalty, and City of Edmonton shall not be responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription or registration of Contest entry information, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, faulty, incomplete, incomprehensible, or erased computer or network transmissions, failure of computer equipment, software, inability to access any online service or web site, inability to submit the online entry, or any other error or malfunction, or any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Contest, or for late, lost, stolen, postage due, illegible or misdirected entries.

Prize Description

  • 100 AIR MILES® Reward Miles per weekly period, per facility during the contest period, totalling 72 prizes.
  • The 72 winners of the lucky draw who participate in the Grand Golf Tournament will be entered for a chance to win one of 72 Prizes ranging from 50 to 5000 AIR MILES® Reward Miles prizes. Breakup is as below:
    • One 5,000 AIR MILES® Reward Miles prize
    • Thirty 100 AIR MILES® Reward Miles prizes
    • Thirty 75 AIR MILES® Reward Miles prizes
    • Eleven 50 AIR MILES® Reward Miles prizes
  • AIR MILES Reward Miles Prize Details: AIR MILES Reward Miles Prize will be posted directly into the AIR MILES Collector Account of the confirmed winner within six weeks after the confirmation of the winner of that Prize. To ensure that the winner receives the Prize in his or her preferred balance, winner should ensure his or her balance preferences (AIR MILES® Cash balance and AIR MILES® Dream balance) are set as desired prior to the Prize being posted in his/her Collector Account.
  • The approximate retail value of AIR MILES reward miles depends on the chosen method of redemption, available reward options at the time of redemption, and the set preference between AIR MILES Cash and AIR MILES Dream Account balances. If redeemed with AIR MILES Cash, 95 reward miles can be redeemed in-store for $10 towards purchases at participating AIR MILES Sponsors or 95 reward miles can be redeemed online for eVouchers for $10 worth of value at participating Reward Partners. If redeemed for flights (1,200 reward mile minimum required for flight redemption), value depends on destination chosen, date of travel and use of multiple carriers or suppliers. For example, one return economy flight from Toronto, Ontario to Winnipeg, Manitoba is 2,000 AIR MILES reward miles and has an approximate value of $525.00 (Canadian) excluding taxes. Winner must pay applicable taxes, related transportation fees, governmental levies, excess baggage and other non-ticket costs. The value of AIR MILES reward miles redeemed for non-flight reward options depends on reward options in effect at the time of redemption. AIR MILES reward miles are subject to the terms and conditions of the AIR MILES Reward Program as amended from time to time. AIR MILES Reward Miles Prize is not transferable or convertible to cash and must be accepted as awarded. Contest Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the Prize with a prize of equal or greater value, including cash. To ensure that winners receive their Prize in their preferred balance, each winner should ensure his/her balance preferences (Cash Miles balance and Dream Miles balance) are set as desired prior to the Prize being posted in his/her Collector Account.

Prize Drawing

  • The 100 AIR MILES® Reward Miles prizes draw will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received per facility for the weekly period.
  • Each weekly draw will take place at each golf facility and will be done by the Golf pro or by Operations supervisor for Golf Driving Range.
  • The selected entrant winner will be contacted within three days of the draw and City of Edmonton staff with contact them 3 times within a time frame of five working days from the date of draw.
  • Prize will be provided via electronic transfer to winner’s AIR MILES Collector Account.
  • The winners of the 100 AIR MILES® Reward Miles prize will be automatically eligible for a Free play at a Grand Golf Tournament where they can win upto 5,000 AIR MILES® Reward Miles prize in another lucky draw. If someone is unable to play then they can nominate anyone else to play on their behalf.
  • If the selected entrant cannot be contacted in that time, another entrant will be randomly selected and the initial selected entrant will be disqualified and will have no recourse towards City of Edmonton, or anyone involved in the Contest. In order to win, the selected entrant must first correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical, skill-testing question to be administered by telephone, and he or she will be required to sign a standard Declaration and Release Form confirming compliance with the Contest Rules, acceptance of the Prize as awarded and releasing LoyaltyOne, Co., RMG Loyalty, and City of Edmonton from all liability relating to the Contest. No substitution for, or transfer of the Prize, will be allowed. The selected entrant will have three working days from the date of receipt to return a signed copy of the Declaration and Release Form to City of Edmonton. If the selected entrant does not do so within this period of time, another entrant will randomly be selected and the initial selected entrant will be disqualified and will have no recourse towards LoyaltyOne, Co., RMG Loyalty, or City of Edmonton or anyone involved in the Contest.
  • If any potential winner is under the age of majority in his/her province or territory of residence, a parent or legal guardian of the potential winner will be required to sign or submit a Declaration and Release Form on behalf of their minor child. If a parent or legal guardian of a potential winner does not sign or submit the Declaration and Release Form, the potential winner will not be awarded a Prize.

    Submission of an entry constitutes acceptance of these contest rules by entrant. LoyaltyOne, Co., RMG Loyalty, and City of Edmonton do not accept responsibility for any loss, damage or claims caused by or resulting from this contest or the prizes. The prize winner(s) agrees by accepting the prize to release LoyaltyOne, Co., RMG Loyalty, and City of Edmonton from any and all liability arising out of, pursuant to, or as a result of the carrying out of the contest, including liability arising from the acceptance of the prize(s) as awarded and confirming compliance with contest rules. By entering the contest, entrants consent to the use of their names, city of residence, photograph, voice and/or image for publicity purposes and in all mediums utilized by LoyaltyOne, Co., RMG Loyalty, and City of Edmonton without payment or compensation.
