Renting can be complicated. Learn your rights, save money and connect with housing resources.
The City of Edmonton offers free Rent Ready courses to help you become a better renter. It’s about building the knowledge and skills to find housing and keep it.
Courses are regularly offered at Edmonton Public Libraries (EPL) branches and cover residential tenancy legislation, community resources, utilities, and financial empowerment. You’ll learn from experts at the City, Bissell Centre and Utilities Consumer Advocate.
You will learn:
- How to navigate the housing application process
- Your rights and responsibilities as a tenant
- The responsibilities of your landlord
- How to find savings and make the most of your money and find savings
- How to keep your home safe and secure
Refreshments will be provided. Free transit tickets are available upon request.
